The opportunity
  
Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Production & Supply Planner is critical to the success of the supply chain function of James Hardie. They will be responsible for managing the import, export and purchase of stock for the New Zealand operation, as well as managing demand plan that provides the basis for manufacturing production, inventory and overall supply chain costs.
  
Key responsibilities:
  • Maximise production capability in line with key focus areas within Safety, People, Quality, Boards and Cost
  • Inventory control – receipting of products into store, stock adjustments and overall stock take control for distribution centres
  • Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production
  • Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements
  • Proactively oversee schedule and adjust accordingly to meet deadlines; Resolve production issues and close out corrective actions
  • Use SAP to track and review finished goods movement; maintain monthly forecast data in SAP and completing monthly reviews with key stakeholders
  • Comply with laws, regulations and company policies and requirements
About you
  
We are looking for:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Supply Chain or related field
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Previously worked in fast-paced production planning role
  • A strong customer service focus and a track record of building strong partnerships and mutual trust with internal and external partners
  • Hands on approach, able to operate across all levels of business and across all stakeholders
