Help us build New Zealand! PlaceMakers is New Zealand's leading and largest supplier of building materials to New Zealand’s commercial and residential construction markets.
We are transforming our transport operations through the implementation of a new end to end Transport Management System to support operational efficiency and superior customer service.
As a result, we have an opportunity for an Analyst to join the team based at our National Office in Penrose. The role will report to the Supply Chain Manager. Key functions of this role will be the configuration of a world leading system which we are in the process of implementing and also providing analytics on improving operational efficiency.
As our Analyst – we want for you to become the subject matter expert for all things Transport system related; and in this capacity we will be looking for someone who will actively look for ways to optimise and improve things. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is keen to really get stuck into developing knowledge and expertise relating to a top class system. Along with configuration and optimisation, the role will also cover the reporting functions. The system will allow us to develop a range of metrics relating to all touchpoints of the transport process, from order creation to delivery completion and you will be instrumental in providing operational insight for review.
The successful candidate will offer strong expertise as an Analyst, ideally within the transport sector. Alternatively, an Analyst with supply chain experience and a track record of either optimising an existing system or implementing a new one would be considered favourably.
We are looking for someone who offers good verbal and written communication skills. You will be able to identify both risks and opportunities and be able to influence decisions by offering rational and logical explanations which will allow us to develop a plan of action. Your organisational, planning and time management skills will be key strengths. And although your role will carry a lot of sole authority, we are looking for a team player and someone is able to develop good working relationships across our diverse business.
