Ample Group Limited is privately-owned meat processing facility located in Stratford, Taranaki and currently has an excellent opportunity available for a boning room Production Manager. With a recently upgraded boning room, the business has plans to increase its production output and expand into new markets.
The boning room Production Manager role is critical to the plants success and you will be entering the business at a critical stage of the company’s growth. We need an experienced meat industry professional that has comprehensive hands on understanding of boning rooms and can lead the production process from carcass chillers to loadout. This role is a high impact role and requires the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment, planning ahead to meet targets and solve problems and are committed to benchmark performance.
Day-to day responsibilities include;
- Supervise the boning room operations including developing the team performance
- Responsible for ensuring finished product arrives in specification and on time to customers
- Maximise revenue per carcass through yield management
- Setting high standards for compliance to regulatory and health and safety regulations
- Reporting on key performance indicators
You’ll have:
- Proven supervisory & leadership roles within the red meat industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to use excel & outlook
- Understand how to break down a carcass and product flows and manning
- Can do attitude with ability to multi-task to deliver results
