Our client is the Sole Authorised Distributor in New Zealand for Honda Motorcycles, Power Equipment and Marine Engines. The people working within this business are passionate about the brand, what they do and how they do it.

Reporting directly to the Group Supply Chain Manager, your focus will be to provide inventory/pricing support to the Group Managers/Customer Services and Dealer Managers.  You’ll monitor all shipping and shipping clerk related documentation, and co-ordinating with the Distribution Centre.  Additionally, you’ll identify potential products, determine specifications, delivery timetables and into store costs for Honda products (Motorcycles/Power Equip/Marine).  Another key function is preparing and processing purchasing recommendations for Honda Power Equipment and Honda Marine and Blue Wing Honda Parts as well as maintaining stock levels appropriate for the seasonality of the market, the growth of the business, and objectives of stock turn and stock value.
 
To secure this role you must have previous purchasing experience together with knowledge of Service Level Agreements and ordering systems.   You’ll also need sound knowledge of overseas and local ordering systems (LC’s, open accounts, forward cover, FX) and be current with purchasing best practice and MRP & ROP ordering methods.  It’s essential you have an exceptional customer service focus (both internal and external), great computer and communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.  Initiative, drive and enthusiasm will be what you demonstrate on any given working day. A passion for learning and utilising the latest technology (Demand Planning & Business Intelligence software) to assist you during the business day is vital.
