We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager for this factory based role.

We are looking for someone with great organisational skills, confident communication skills and the ability to lead by example. This role would suit someone who has experience in manufacturing, with experience in food or FMCG a strong advantage.

About the role

You will be joining an energetic, motivated team of people.  Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be in charge of approximately 80 people on the day shift, with support another shift manager in an adjacent department.  While this role will initially be based on days, the long term plan is for this role to be rotating with the Shift Manager on the afternoon shift.  This shift will run 4pm-2am Monday to Thursday (with the occasional move to 3pm-1am when required).    This is a busy, fast-paced environment; you will need strong leadership experience, and excellent communication.  You will also need to be self-motivated and have the ability to engage, lead and inspire a team.

To be suitable for this role, you will need the following: 

• Manufacturing experience
• Excellent people skills & people management experience
• Self-starter and attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills
• Sense of urgency & get things done
• Flexibility and happy to jump in and get your hands dirty when needed!
