If quality testing is your passion and you are interested in a part time, fixed term contract of 12 months, then we want to hear from you!! You may be someone who is wanting to return back to the workforce in a part time capacity, or a recent Chemistry or Microbiology graduate who just wants to get their foot into the door and really learn all aspects of the role, whilst retaining your existing part time role. The role will initially include QA/QC tasks, but there is the opportunity for the right person to provide cover to our Microbiologist, therefore learn all aspects of this role to provide cover during leave later in the year. Or you could be wanting to take a break from the hustle and bustle of a full-time role and get more balance into your life and actively be seeking a part time position. Whatever scenario you are in, to be successful, you will:
Always adhere to safe work practices and comply with all H&S requirements for working in a QA space
Be a self-starter and comfortable working both within a team and at times unassisted
Ensure compliance with all SOP’s and written requirements that adhere to the company’s procedures and policies
Ability to work to deadlines and produce accurate results whilst under pressure
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English
Perform analysis of raw materials, packaging and bulk-finished products according to standard procedures
Check other analyst’s calculations as required
Bulk testing and releasing products on the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX)
Carrying out routine micro testing on a periodic basis
Carry out calibration of laboratory equipment as required
To be considered for this role, you must be Tertiary qualified in a scientific field - this is essential (Bachelor or Master in either Chemistry or Microbiology). You must be a confident communicator and enjoy working closely within a manufacturing environment.
This is a part time (20 hours per week), fixed term contract for 12 months.
