About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will take a leadership role in executing supply chain services across all products & services and regions for the group. This is a key role and will act as a conduit across all functions of the organisation including Delivery, Finance, Operations & Customer Care to ensure product requirements are met to deliver to customer expectations. The expectation is to make the function more commercially driven.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

  • Inventory control, including process development, variance & DIFOT improvement.
  • Logistics and distribution.
  • Demand Planning
  • Ensure effective lines of communication between PMO, Customer Care, Operations to ensure priority requirements & timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate recording of inventory (physical & financial).
  • Reporting.

Logistics and Asset Management

  • Take responsibility for assets & inventory management of all products relating to projects & delivery.
  • Initiate asset tagging, monitoring and write-off / disposal of inventory.
  • Manage stock holdings (safety stock levels)
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure there is no misuse of inventory or surplus or excessive stock being held.

Spares Management

  • Work with Operations, Field force (internal and 3rd parties) and our Repair Agencies to ensure effective & timely management of the spares process, ensuring appropriate stock holdings to meet SLA’s.
  • Maintenance of our spares databases to ensure transparency and accuracy of our critical spares in order for Operations to maintain network availability.

Warehousing

  • Run an efficient warehouse, compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Manage & perform receipt, pick, pack & dispatch duties.

Demand Planning

  • Work with Customer Care to assist with the planning of hardware purchasing requirements.

General

  • Ensure regular reporting of inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate financial records of items purchased and assign the appropriate inventory from our stock to specific job codes within the financial system.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with various suppliers.
  • Purchasing duties.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge & experience in the Telecommunications sector would be helpful.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain & Logistics.
  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, process improvement and optimisation.
  • Proven ability to interact across disciplines and levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, along with ERP experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft experience.
  • Organisational and Time Management Skills.
