Hosking Trailers are a well-established business based in Albany.  We are one of the most experienced and reputable boat trailer manufacturers in New Zealand and are passionate about what we do....and have been doing this for over 45 years!

This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to bring their manufacturing talent and knowledge, leadership and problem-solving abilities to a business that is progressive, supportive and passionate about delivering premium quality trailers to its diverse family of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Production leadership and management (leading a team of 5-7 passionate trailer creators)
• An ‘on the tools’ leader that is able to move between departments
• Production planning and scheduling (providing that drum beat)
• Design responsibility for existing and new trailers (bringing out your creative side)
• Inventory/Stock management
• Quality control (measure twice, cut once!)
• Health and Safety (we go home as we came to work, no incidents, no accidents)
• Continuous improvement of the manufacturing procedures and processes
• Technical guru to our factory floor and customers
• Customer service support (caring for our customers).

To be considered for this role, you will need to bring a number of attributes, including:

• Proven experience as a team leader or wanting to step up to a leadership role
• Fitter/welding experience (desirable)
• Not afraid to get your hands dirty (hands on experience in manufacturing)
• From a trailer, automotive or marine background (desirable)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise (or go bump in the night)
• Customer service ‘Can-do’ attitude
• Full clean driver’s licence
