About The Role

There is more to collecting waste than what you might think, our trucks are set up with modern technologies and we all take pride in delivering an essential service to local residents and business.

We have a great opportunity for a Driver Trainer/Assessor to join our friendly team, location is negotiable.

In this role you will be responsible for the effective delivery of training and assessment for all company and owner drivers in accordance to policies, procedures, standards and Waste Management requirements.

 

The key responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Assessing new company and owner drivers when requested by the business
  • Providing scheduled training as required by the individual managers
  • Ensuring that driver training/assessing in your area is up to date and compliant with policies and procedures
  • Loading of all information relative to the role into the Vault data base
  • Generating reports when required for the region

 

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • A high level of driving experience in the transport industry in a wide variety of vehicles
  • Relevant knowledge of safety legislation
  • Driver Licences as required to meet site and job requirements (professional development is available for the successful applicant in this area)
  • Ability to travel throughout New Zealand to assist other trainers in the business
  • Excellent problem solving, time management and organisational skills
  • Experience in using computerised systems
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels
