National role – Auckland or Christchurch (preferred)
At Airways, we lead air traffic management for New Zealand and beyond. Our team of over 800 people delivers air navigation and air traffic management services, consultancy and training throughout New Zealand and in over 65 countries. We deliver world-leading aviation solutions and innovations – through leading edge thinking, nimble execution and strong collaboration.
The world of aviation is transforming and here at Airways, we’re on a journey to make our services more responsive, flexible and fit-for-the future.
Key to those developments is how we leverage collaborative partnership relationships with vendors and suppliers across our business, and our new commerdial manger will establish, implement and lead our approach.
In this role you’ll ensure we achieve best value from our contracts and relationships and drive collaborative relationship management including commercial performance reporting, systems and processes. You’ll enhance our supply chain and engage cross-functionally with talented professionals in finance, legal and procurement.
To tackle this role, you’ll need significant commercial/vendor management experience with advanced knowledge in the establishment of collaborative relationship management. This is a newly introduced business concept for Airways, so ideally you have a background of success in implementing these functions previously and your experience has been gained within the engineering, technology or construction sectors. You’ll be an exceptional communicator and stakeholder manager with a talent for working cross-functionally. Importantly, you’re a dynamic leader who knows how to embrace and lead people through change.
In return, you’ll work with talented colleagues focussed on innovation for the future of aviation. There is exciting work underway and we need you to be a part of it. Apply now!
