The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has established itself as an agency with a critical role in regulating capital markets and financial services in New Zealand and providing better outcomes for all New Zealanders.

As part of the wider Regulation function, our Compliance Services team provides effective development and management of the external facing functions of the FMA, including complaints, enquiries, licensing services, notifications and Regulatory Returns. These services are critical to the FMA being seen to be an agile, user friendly, professional and efficient organization. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Adviser to join this busy team. The role is responsible for resolving a significant volume of the operational escalations from the team as well as providing day to day support to the Head of Compliance Services. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, and know the importance of providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers. Crucial to your success in this role will be your experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems and a basic understanding of the back end technology that makes the system work. You will be systems minded and interested in continuous improvements.

Ideally you'll have a tertiary level qualification, but what's most important to us is your analytical thinking, eye for detail and the ability to make sound decisions based on a range of information. You will be accustomed to building and maintaining relationships through your positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Strong written and verbal communication is essential as is a natural enthusiasm for New Zealand financial services. These skills are key to what we are looking for.
