About The Role
As a Storeperson you will be based in our Palmerston North Depot and you'll be responsible for job order picking which will include receiving, handling and dispatching goods coming into, or going out of the Downer Power and Gas Store. You’ll enjoy interacting with our customers, suppliers and internal Downer staff. Your duties will include;
- Receipting, handling, despatching and stocktakes
- Stock Management
- Accurate and timely record keeping
- Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures.
About You
With previous experience in a stores environment you’ll know your way around and be comfortable working unsupervised. Taking pride in your work you’ll be detail focused and organised with a commitment to service delivery. Not one to shy away from a challenge you’ll thrive under pressure, be skilled at prioritising and able to multitask –whilst maintaining your positive attitude and great sense of humour. You’ll also offer:
- Confident computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Current full drivers' licence
- HT Truck, Pal Finger and Forklift Licence is desirable
- Hold Health & Safety in the highest regard.
