We are a small import and distribution company based in Onehunga. We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team to oversee all the warehouse operations of our business.
Working 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday), this role will have sole responsibility running our warehouse. During November through to January we may need you to work extra hours each week as this is our busy time (approximately 40-45 each week - depending on demands).
Responsibilities:
The duties you will undertake are as follows:
- Prepare orders by picking stock; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Maintain inventory levels by updating stock bays and monitoring excess stock.
- Perform regular stock takes of the warehouse to ensure stock levels are correct.
- Ensure that the warehouse area is kept clean - keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with unloading containers.
Experience and Skills
- Experience working in a warehouse role for at least 1 year.
- Ability to multi task and manage time well to ensure all orders are sent out on the same day they are received.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to work autonomously.
- Experience in using a walkie stacker (hoist) and pallet jack.
- A level of physical fitness that will enable you to unload containers.
- MS Office / Unleashed - The stock and order system we use is "Unleashed" which is relatively easy to learn, but you must be able to show that you can use a computer.
Our Team
We are an energetic group of people, who work hard but we enjoy what we do as well. We predominantly deal with the distribution of MGP (Madd Gear) Scooters; Razor scooters and electric products; and also drift trikes. We currently employ 3 people in the office, plus the Warehouse Assistant.
