A well-known and dynamic FMCG business, this company is behind a range of instantly recognised NZ brands. Due to growth, a new position is being created for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join this forward-thinking business.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Production Manager you will be responsible leading a team of two team leaders and their teams of shift workers across the afternoon shifts. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities which will see you take on a leadership role. You will lead and inspire your team; contribute to the manufacturing strategy; take responsibility for planning, inventory performance, financial management and improving efficiency - whilst also having a hands-on approach.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Staff guidance, leadership and coaching
• Monitoring raw materials and consumable inventory
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Driving change and improvement
• Health & Safety
• Administrative control
The Person
You are an experienced Shift Manager (or similar) ideally with experience in the FMCG industry. You will be able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, pressured environment and have the ability to prioritise workload to achieve business needs. Strong communication skills, the ability to influence key stakeholders and the confidence and ability to drive production improvements will ensure your success in this role.
You will be involved in projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs and to improve/expand the current capability and output of the manufacturing site.
