We are a privately owned company, based in Auckland, and specialise in the manufacture of food grade plastic products. Our products include drink bottles, lunch and food containers as well as a range of general storage containers and coat hangers. We sell our product in more than 80 countries around the world and have offices in Australia, UK, France and USA.
    
We are experiencing huge growth and are proud to be working from a new 55,000m2 purpose built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility close to Auckland Airport. As part of this expansion we are looking to employ a capable and experienced Plastic Technician.

What will you do?
-    Set-up and operate various sizes and types of machines - Mount, align and secure dies, make adjustments as needed and remove dies from machines
-    Perform set up and adjustments to machine robots
-    Trouble shooting and process optimisation
-    General and preventative machine maintenance
-    Ensuring products produced are to our high quality specifications and standard

What are we looking for?
-    Professional technical training in Die Setting or equivalent experience
-    Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in plastic moulding industry as a Plastic  Technician and relevant qualification 
-    Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of plastics processing
-    Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices
-    Have a "can do" attitude and be able to analyse and solve issues
-    Experience with robotic settings preferred
-    Good computer skills required 
-    Must be able to work within a team environment
-    Forklift license and knowledge and use of an overhead crane would be an advantage
