Our client, PRO-FORM, is a team of automotive accessories professionals who continuously transform transport, committed to continued learning, trying new ways and who earn their world-class status of excelling in the global plastics market.  PRO-FORM sells a range of pickup truck accessories to automotive companies in more than 60 countries throughout the world. 

Reporting to the COO, the new role of Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective resourcing and directing of people and plant to ensure the products are delivered in full, in specification and on time to clients around the world.

The Manufacturing Manager will lead the Sportlids; Extrusion; Bedliner; Canopies and Warehouse functions within the business.  With six direct and 75+ indirect reports, you will coach, guide and mentor your people to produce the very best quality products and to do so with pride and alignment the company values.  You will oversee the full production cycle from order to despatch including, quality control (in conjunction with the Quality Team), and with a strong focus on health and safety.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced people leader with solid experience in the manufacturing sector.  In addition, you will have: 

  • Ideally a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline; or qualifications in a manufacturing environment;
  • 5+ years managing people ideally managing those that manage others;
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes; machine operation; lean practices;
  • An uncompromising focus and approach to health & safety;
  • The ability to inspire others to be the best they can be at work;
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Strong experience in process review & improvement;
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
