To continue our success, we currently have an exciting 4-6 month contract opportunity to join our New Zealand team as an Environmental Health & Safety Officer. We implement our EHS policy through the PepsiCo Global Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS) which is guided by our values and consistent with our Global Code of Conduct.
This role is responsible for keeping the Environmental Standards at our manufacturing plant to a consistently high-standard, relating to Storm water; Waste water; Waste Management; Spill Prevention and Response; Air Emission; Resource Conservation.
As an EHS Officer you would be:
- Mapping the life cycle stages and documenting degree of control
- Influencing to complete Aspects and Impacts assessments at Wiri
- Developing and updating Site Risk Register /Aspects and Impacts Register with Prioritised Action Plans
- Monitoring on a regular basis GEHSMS completion on Critical and Major Actions
- Assisting in the hazardous substances / chemical handling standards
- Managing contractors; chemical storage and management; noise control and hearing protection; asbestos management and equipment preventive maintenances
Skills required:
- ISO 14001 requirement is a must
- Must be competent with Risk Assessment and Aspects and Impacts
- Knowledge in ISO14001 (specifically Process Life Cycle)
- Working knowledge in HSWA 2015 and Hazardous Substances
