About the role
Reporting to the 360 Discovery Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring we deliver an outstanding experience and safe journey for our customers. Responsible for ensuring our vessels are well maintained, and all crew onboard are trained and operating at a high standard, you'll be a real champion of the customer experience, and motivate your crew to go above and beyond.
Duties
- Provide safe and efficient operation of the vessel
- Leading your crew to a high standard and motivating them to work as a team
- Provide crew training and guidance
- Providing excellent customer service to your passengers
- Managing passenger and crew safety on board
- Performing day-to-day upkeep on your vessel
- Maintaining communication with the Operations team and other departments within the company
Skills & Experience
- You must hold a current New Zealand SRL ticket (Skipper Restricted Limits)
- You'll be experienced working on high-speed passenger vessels
- You pride yourself on providing an outstanding customer experience
- You have a proven track record and ability to successfully lead and support your crew
- Due to changing weather conditions and variable operational requirements, a flexible and positive attitude are essential
- You are committed to continuous improvement

As we operate 7 days a week, this position is on a rotating roster basis and will include some weekend shifts and public holidays. Due to the nature of shift work involved, applicants are required to have a full driver's licence and their own transport.
