About the business: We are a New Zealand owned and operated business based in Bombay, Auckland. We produce and export high quality New Zealand skincare and olive oil throughout New Zealand and internationally. Our rapidly expanding business requires a factory production manager to drive our busy skincare manufacturing facility.

About the role: In this key position you will supervise and lead the team to meet agreed production and quality standards. You will have the drive and self-motivation to establish robust systems and procedures to drive operational efficiency and to increase production capacity.

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Proven ability to lead a team of people with a hands-on management style
• Proven experience in supply chain principles including planning, forecasting, procurement, sourcing, inventory management and logistics (both local and international) within a manufacturing environment
• The ability to maintain and build excellent relationships with valued suppliers to ensure products are produced and delivered on time and on specification
• Good Excel computer and numerical skills
• Physically fit with a full NZ driver’s license
• Forward thinking, proven planner with excellent time management 
• High level of communication skills
• Experience in a cosmetic manufacturing environment would be ideal
• Experience in logistics and international freight
• Procurement experience with a focus on reducing lead times and costs
