As the Cold Store/Shift Manager, your initial focus will be the leadership/management of the cold store/warehouse operation and bulk inventory management at our off site cold store. You will also be exposed to our processing and packing operations and have back up responsibility for the manufacturing shift managers and get involved in Lean projects.
You will be a key member of the manufacturing leadership team taking the Plant to the next level on our continuous improvement journey.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- An understanding of OHS legislation and hold health and safety practices in the highest regard
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a lean food manufacturing environment
- Experience in a distribution/logistics and supply chain role and have inventory control experience
- Knowledge of warehouse planning and utilization, receipt & storage
- Understanding of FIFO & quality requirements for bulk storage
- Demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, Quality (HACCP, GMP), Warehouse Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems.
- Proven experience of championing a learning culture within a team; coaching skills an advantage
- OSH forklift licence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and create a climate where people are motivated to do their best
- A ‘Can do’ attitude - being out in front, ushering in change, and challenging the status quo.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role and work on a 24/7 roster if required
