Our team is expanding and we are looking for a superstar to join our amazing team.  You will be responsible for determining if a potential new customers meets our clearly defined credit criteria.  You will work closely with the field based sales team, Credit Collections team and would be well supported by the Home Direct (HDL) leadership team.

What is the role all about?

This position is all about determining the credit worthiness of customers and providing the HDL Retail Team with appropriate and clear credit decisions for potential new customer sign ups and credit related assessment for existing customers.  Highly effective communication with customers, the HDL Retail Team and Credit Teams is crucial as is the adherence to all internal policies and external regulation related to lending and associated documentation.  Working a 40hr week, the hours are Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday.

Key tasks include:

  • Verifying New Customer signups for activation
  • Ensure documentation records meet regulation requirements
  • Maintain Quality and Account quality measures
  • Provide credit risk assessment for existing customers requesting more credit

What we are looking for (preferably), but at the end of the day you have common sense and think logically:

  • Credit lending or collections experience
  • Creation and maintenance of accurate customer records
  • Call Centre experience
  • Risk assessment
  • Investigative data collection prior to making a decision
  • Financial / budgeting literacy
  • Competent use of CRM and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of regulations – CCCFA and AML
