Inventory Improvements Coordinator
Would you like to join a well-established privately-owned business with an impressive customer base and brand presence?
We are seeking to recruit an Inventory Controller Extraordinaire who can hit the ground running. Someone who can review, recommend and implement improvements to our inventory management systems and processes.
Reporting into the National Warehouse & Distribution Manager you will play a pivotal role in taking a very good warehouse operation to becoming an exceptional one.
The Role
Working as part a key member of the Warehousing Team, this role will be responsible for inventory control ensuring stock variance losses are minimized and stock accuracy is maximized in its Penrose DC.
You will manage stock in all its facets & locations – on & off site, cycle counting and QA checks. Produce and analyze daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and ensure any discrepancies are addressed. This role will also focus on the following key areas:
- Update all inventory control processes and procedure documents.
- Reducing internal damages
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
The Person
With an excellent track record in inventory management, ideally gained within a combined warehousing / manufacturing environment, this role will call for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and service delivery skills who can build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. You will understand stock control systems and processes with experience in coordinating annual stock counts.
Being pro-active and self-motivated, the successful person will also have a strong work ethic and will need to be reliable, have a flexible approach to work and show the willingness to learn and adapt.
You will also need to be professional and credible, with an ability to use your initiative and prioritise an often-conflicting workload. Your excellent numeracy and literacy skills, combined with a keen eye for detail and ability to effectively problem-solve, will be crucial as are good analytical skills.
