An exciting opportunity exists for the newly established position of Product Technician within our furniture manufacturing operation, based in the Auckland Airport industrial zone.

About the opportunity
This is a diverse role, which will see you working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across customer service, production, R&D, supply and logistics. Your responsibilities will include: providing technical and trouble-shooting support to customer service, resolving technical issues with suppliers, resolving legacy technical issues, helping with the establishment and refining of SOPs, assisting with product development and product launch, facilitation of product testing, and some product sourcing.
You will support our programme of continuous improvement, including improvements in quality, work practices, and documentation, as required.
Competent communication and reporting to relevant stakeholders will be an essential part of your contribution as a valued support to the management team.
About you
To be successful in this role you will require:
- At least 5 years’ experience in quality or process improvement within a manufacturing operation
- Furniture manufacturing experience and/or an engineering background is desirable
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment, ideally within a Small/Medium sized Business (SMB)
- Demonstrated communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Solid planning and problem-solving capabilities
