The opportunity

The size and scope of this role is rare, and if you’re someone who loves a challenge and working on a large scale piece of work across a complex organisation, this could be what you’re looking for. We’re looking for an Organisational Change Manager on a two year contract, to come in and play a significant role in developing and implementing the change management strategy and activities that support our Corporate Property Portfolio Strategy and Workplace Strategy.

We’re currently undertaking significant changes and moves within the corporate office space, transforming council corporate office footprint over several years from 10 older fragmented premises to 4 consolidated modern and efficient premises with integrated best in class interior fitout, and you’ll have a key role to play in facilitating our staff to effectively adopt flexible work practices, in support of our culture aspirations, and enabling transitions to new workplaces.

Change strategy development, organisational culture change towards flexible working, operational change management to facilitate relocations and communications development will all feature within your remit, as well as leaving a strong change management legacy.

About you

This is a grunty and substantial piece of work, and we’ll be looking for the experience in change management to match it. You’ll have proven experience in effecting successful behaviour and culture change on a large scale and across large numbers of employees and managers, and developing and implementing strategic and tactical change management plans.

Designing and delivering organisational change communications will pose no issue, and experience in managing workplace change, such as transitions to new ways of working with technology and workspace would be advantageous.
