EXPERIENCED ASBESTOS SURVEYOR / ASSESSOR REQUIRED
EIAG are looking for a new member of the team in our Christchurch branch!
We are a well established, IANZ accredited asbestos laboratory offering consulting services throughout the wider Canterbury region. EIAG is a small but robust firm with laboratories in both Christchurch and Wellington, specialising in asbestos analysis, air monitoring and surveying.

You will be joining a team of industry experienced individuals that form a friendly working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and organising jobs with clients and other team members
- Liaising directly with clients regarding current and upcoming works
- Undertaking air monitoring and bulk sampling onsite
- Undertaking clearances of asbestos removal projects
- Managing large and ongoing projects
- Creating, managing and building client relationships
- Seeking and tendering works around New Zealand
- Getting involved with general day to day laboratory duties
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
- Working in accordance to our IANZ accredited quality system
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience as an Surveyor / Assessor
- A full NZ drivers licence
- The ability to travel when required
- Asbestos Assessors Licence is preferred but not required
- A tertiary qualification in science, engineering, occupation health or related discipline is preferred but not required with the right amount of experience
- The ability to easily and appropriately communicate with both team members and clients, on site, via email or phone
- The ability to navigate both Word and Excel
- A thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation
- A friendly, enthusiastic manner to fit in well with our current team
Overall, the chosen applicant will be self-motivated, keen and resourceful with good communication skills and have the ability to prioritize your workload.

Salary is negotiable, based on experience and capability.
