The opportunity

In this two- year programme, you'll have the opportunity to rotate through key teams within the Governance division, which may Te Waka Anga Mua ki Uta - Māori Strategy and Relations, Internal Audit and Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO) Governance. You will also have the unique opportunity to work directly with the Executive Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of division-wide activities.

About you

To be eligible to apply, you must have the following:

  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand, or be eligible to apply for a Post-Study Work Visa
  • A relevant Bachelor degree or postgraduate qualification obtained in the last two years, or be a current student and graduating before the end of January 2019.

This graduate programme is a rare opportunity to gain exposure and experience across the entire Governance division, with a team focused on achieving our vision – for Auckland to be a world-class city. We are looking for graduates with a qualification in a relevant field, specifically: political science, law, public management or administration, sociology, economics.
