About the role
As a Graduate Designer, you’ll play a key role supporting the design of strategic and transformational change. You’ll support the wider team by working across multiple projects to consistently deliver quality and timely outcomes through empathetic use of innovative design approaches.
You’ll make a significant contribution within ThinkPlace internally, proactively identifying and leading business improvement initiatives with reliably stunning execution.
  
You will:  
  • Deliver quality outcomes for clients through empathetic use of innovative design approaches
  • Provide outstanding service to all clients and contribute to strengthening authentic client relationships
  • Contribute to developing and executing winning proposals for small projects with support from others
  • Proactively plan and manage your work and contributions to projects
  • Prioritise reflection to gain insight on project learnings and champion the continual improvement of both your own and the teams design practice
  • Drive your own professional development and actively participate in ThinkGrow activities

Skills, Attributes & Experience
  • A designer's mindset backed with an Undergraduate or Master’s design qualification
  • An interest and ideally some experience designing services, strategies, web interfaces, and/or products
  • Extremely well-developed visual design skills including typography, colour, layout
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative concepts for communicating complex and complicated content
  • Your portfolio will include one or two projects where you have created a highly relevant visual product (print, time-based or digital) that had value beyond the aesthetic, contributing to social change, social awareness, making critical information accessible
  • Solid Mac skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability build relationships, work collaboratively and display empathy
Additionally, you will be comfortable working across cultures and have a commitment to Te Tiriti.
