One of New Zealand's leading electrical contracting companies headquartered in Hawkes Bay seeks to appoint Line Mechanics to help cope with a growing demand for their services in installing new equipment and services to both overhead lines and underground cables and repairing and restoring fault damaged lines, cables and equipment.
Responsibilities include construction services, maintenance services, fault response and cable laying services, vegetation control and complying with the Company's Health and Safety requirements.
Applicants must possess a Line Mechanic Certificate with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Line Mechanic or Trainee Line Mechanic with a comprehensive knowledge of electrical practices. You should be physically fit, have a head for heights and have no colour blindness. Your English communication skills must be good both for Health and Safety requirements, essential team work and to be able to talk to customers and members of the public.
