GBCWinstone is an integrated business which takes products and services to market under three trusted brands; Golden Bay Cement, Winstone Transport and Winstone Aggregates. Together, we are a proud part of the Building Products Division of Fletcher Building Limited and are constantly evolving.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Supervisor to join our team at our Helensville Sand Plant.  Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this will be a sole charge position with responsibility for all aspects of the Sand Plant operation including, loader operation for the movement of sand to stockpile, as well as load out on trucks.   Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality are critical factors for this role and the successful candidate must be proactive in managing contractor and visitor Health & Safety on site.   Managing and communicating with contractors is essential for all site production and maintenance requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who enjoys working alone and is able to confidently interact with customers and service contractors.  You’re a team player with excellent communication skills and relevant work history. You will have expertise in use of tools of trade and be able to spot areas where changes or new procedures or work practices will increase efficiencies. An understanding and experience with quality control techniques would be advantageous as we operate under strict Quality Assurance plans. In addition, you must be familiar with and able to implement all current Health and Safety and Environmental requirements. A relevant A or B Grade Quarry manager Certificate would be an advantage, though training will be given to the successful applicant if required to achieve this.

Depending on production demand, additional hours may be required, so flexibility is a must.
