The Role
The Field Operator is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Bluff Terminal. This role will have you providing field support at both Bluff Terminal and Berth 11. Tasks include but aren’t limited to:
- Assist with 3rd party delivery unload, load and move equipment/additive drums/cubes from forklift.
- Tank dipping and dewatering of bulk storage tanks
- Assisting in monitoring the security, safety and general operations of the facility and berth 11
- Undertake routine operations checks for items including; critical equipment, padlock, fence line, compressor, step ladders, storeroom and tank checks.
- Supervision of short service workers relating to both routine and non-routine operations.
- Report continuously all relevant operational events and abnormal situations
- Provide assistance and support to the on-going pipeline operations.
About you/Required Skills
- Previous experience within a similar field operator/technician position
- Understand pipeline operations, emergency preparedness procedures and understand relevant regulations and commercial agreements
- Medium level computer skills are required in Word, Excel, and ideally in Intranet/SharePoint type applications.
- You will be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
- You will need to be physically fit
- High commitment and understanding of health and safety processes.
