Mitre 10 MEGA Henderson & Westgate are looking for a Team Member with creative flair to maintain a compelling and inspiration offer within the giftware departments, to grow sales and profitability through optimal merchandising and promotion of giftware to surprise and delight our customers.
About the role
With your awareness of trends, and keen eye for detail, you will be responsible for buying and presenting merchandise for the giftware department.
We are looking for someone with inspiring ideas to enhance the selection and image of the giftware department through an innovative and creative approach.
The successful applicant will have:
A keen eye for detail
Exemplary customer service skills
Confident & effective communication skills at all levels
Ability to build and maintain successful and professional relationships with suppliers
Ability to select merchandise and create artful displays of products to make customers stop to take a close look
Ability to bring a fresh perspective and drive the visual elements of the department
Enthusiasm and ability to foster effective teamwork
Ability to identify and resolve problems as they occur
Purchasing experience desirable, but not essential
You will be responsible for:
Selecting and ordering stock
Presenting compelling in-store displays that inspire customers to purchase the products we offer
Customer Service & Sales – helping customers find exactly what they are looking for
Ensuring products are rotated and displayed with correct price tickets
Maintaining stock levels
Communicating with Suppliers
Maintain superior department presentation
