Fresh Collective Alberton Ave is looking for an energetic and details-orientated assistant buyer to join our team at Fresh Collective Alberton Ave.
Fresh Collective Alberton Ave is a busy hub for local shoppers, with the best of large supermarkets condensed into a more convenient size.
About the role
We are looking for a full time Assistant Buyer for the Grocery, Chilled, Frozen and Liquor Departments. You will be assisting the main buyer with all duties including, SAP purchasing, managing stocks, issuing credits, range reviews and more. It goes without saying that you will be a natural negotiator, communicator and able to build relationships with sales reps, merchandisers and the team. You will have the know how to exceptionally manage the stock range, rotate products and have an eye for detail.
We are also looking for someone who would be interested into growing into the head buyers role in time.
SAP experience is absolutely necessary for this role.
Current Fork lift license is a plus
Current Duty Managers Certificate also a plus
About you
You will have retail experience at a supervisory level and be a strong team player. You need to thrive in the fast-paced environment of retail and grocery and be able to multitask and work with other people for the better of the department and business.
You will take instructions well, have a keen listening ear, willing to learn, and an eagerness to fill the tasks the Head Buyer and Owners give to you.
You will also be willing to work in other departments in the business in peak busy times.
This is a full time position for approx. 45 hours per week and will have a set roster which will include at least one day of the weekend. Hours will be starting from 6.30am each morning rostered on.
