About the Role:

The Commercial Accountant will assume key responsibility for product costing and pricing activities related to Kerry’s Taste & Nutrition business in the New Zealand market and manage the assimilation, reporting and presentation of business performance in line with Kerry’s established KPIs and metrics.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculation and delivery of costing / pricing models across Kerry NZ’s product portfolio with a keen understanding of pricing and margin management activities (raw material risk, conversion cost modelling, FX risk management, margin segmentation etc)
  • Preparation and review of various monthly reports / metrics together with the Commercial Controller with a strong emphasis on monthly Volume, Revenue & Margin reporting across a matrix managed organisation
  • Oversight of the weekly Forward Projection (“Flash”) report, providing regional management with a realtime assessment of current month business performance
  • Maintain Kerry’s Business Intelligence solution ensuring it operates with a high degree of data integrity
  • Central control point for customer segmentation queries, regional database access, end-user training and ad hoc queries
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required including periodic Executive Meeting analytics and presentations
  • Engaging and partnering with Commercial stakeholders to foster a greater understanding and insight of key business drivers and performance
  • Support ad hoc regional Commercial Finance initiatives and annual strategic plans to include Budgeting and Forecasting and regional pricing strategies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or numerical discipline
  • CPA or CA qualification essential
  • Minimum 2 years' professional experience in a previous commercial role (must have experience working with Sales / Commercial teams)
  • Familiarity with OLAP BI, Hyperion, SAP and SAP implementation processes all strongly desirable
  • Highly computer literate with strong emphasis on analytical skills
  • Candidates should be capable of analyzing and reporting on large volumes of data in a succinct and user friendly manner
  • Strong team player capable of demonstrating key leadership competencies and working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
