We're looking for an experienced Retail or Commercial Manager to lead the charge in our Kerikeri store. As a Branch Manager with Carpet Court your main focus will be driving the success of your store from a sales, operational and staffing perspective. Whilst retail sales is a significant element of our business, you will also have commercial and insurance aspects to manage.

We have some of the best exclusive product ranges on the market backed by an incredibly strong brand. As you will be the "go to" person for the team, it is essential for you to have experience in flooring or a closely related industry.

The Serious Stuff (aka Key Responsibilities): 

  • Provide leadership in sales activities and ensure the sales team achieve their agreed objectives and sales targets
  • Oversee all operations, ensuring all installation projects are coordinated and inventory and stock is managed efficiently 
  • Monitor and manage operating costs and sales targets, ensuring budget for the financial year is met
  • Responsibility for the store's overall P/L
  • Leading and inspiring store team to meet or exceed commercial goals and build brand equity
  • Create a strong learning and development culture through ongoing and continuous opportunistic coaching, mentoring and support for employees

This is not just about selling carpet to customers, there's a lot more to it than that!

We don't want to list the skills, we're just looking for the right person for the role. Of course you will have a demonstrable track record in successfully managing a retail store. You and your team will work with our customers from initial consultation right through to post-installation check-up, so this role will definitely suit someone who cares about the full customer experience more than just "making the sale". A full NZ driving licence is essential.
