We're looking for an experienced Tile and Hard Flooring specialist to be a Department Manager based in our Nelson store. You'll have the knowledge and a passion for tiles and flooring and have the ability to quantify, quote and sell. This is more than a store based role therefore a full NZ Driving Licence is required.
You'll have the ability to get all technical e.g. have an understanding of different substrates and substrate preparation (If this means something to you then this may be the role for you!).

The Serious Stuff (aka Key Responsibilities):
- Meeting or exceeding performance Sales targets
- Measuring/estimating flooring requirements and constructing a detailed plan
- Costing, quoting and closing the sale
- Encouraging excellence in staff relations between flooring installers, office and shop staff
- Post installation follow-up and customer care
This is not just about selling flooring to customers, there's a lot more to it than that!
We don't want to just list the skills, we're just looking for the right person for the role. You will of course need to be knowledgeable in this field and have experience in the flooring/building trade. You'll work with your customers from initial consultation right through to post-installation check-up, so this role will definitely suit someone who cares about the full customer experience more than just "making the sale".
