The Role:


Based in in Auckland's CBD, our client is a long established, privately owned investment company. They are looking to appoint an Accounts / Business Support / EA / Office Manager person, who will add value to the full office function of the company.
By joining this small office team, you will be tasked with managing the day to day Accounting & Administration tasks, as well as providing some Business & Secretarial Support to the Director. You will be responsible for ensuring that all the office functions are managed appropriately, and quality of work remains high.
We are keen on appointing someone who is business savvy, who understands how a business operates and will bring value to the team, working towards playing a leadership role within the office. They will have well developed commercial acumen, understanding financial matters and how these impact on a business.

Duties will involve:

  • Providing Executive Support to the Director; diary management, reporting, secretarial support and communications.
  • Involvement in the accounting function of the business, ensuring all financial deadlines are met
  • Liaises with other agencies, clients and business partners to support management.
  • Supports HR and Recruitment processes
  • Supports Property management function; maintains all property related records
  • Strengthens relationships with Brokers, Tenants, Advisors, Fund Managers, Legal, Suppliers, Tenants & Contractors
  • Manages and guides projects in other areas of the business, as required.

Qualities & Experience you will bring:

  • Business support experience at a senior level
  • Expertise in I.T, strong MS Office skills
  • A solid technical knowledge in finance and accounting to at least trial balance. (Whilst you do not have to be an accountant you will need expertise/ interest in Accounts).
  • Experience or knowledge in accounting software packages, preferably Xero
  • Strong desire to add value. Proactive. Self-managing. Efficient
  • An interest in business, investments and making money/ financial performance
  • Strategic/lateral thinking and well developed analytical ability
  • Comfortable in a small office team environment.
  • Background in Business Support roles, preferably 8+ years'
