About the role

We are seeking an individual who has superior leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. 

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

• Maintain Customer Services of the Store are to a high standard consistently whether by ensuring appropriate training is given to employees or by serving customers personally;
• Prepare and carry out training programs to keep liquor store staff are appropriately trained and updated in terms of customer service, product knowledge, applicable regulations
• Ensure the operation of the Store/Business complies with health and safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure in-store merchandising are completed, updated and maintained
• Ensure that shelves are fully stocked and stock are appropriately priced
• Set pricing to ensure that a reasonable profit margin is maintained by the business
• Establish promotions, advertising or other programs to help increase sales when appropriate
• Order the appropriate stock from suppliers/distributors/wholesalers
• May work with the employer in deciding whether to order new lines of stock
• Check received stock against invoices
• Ensure the correct retail pricing are completed on the stock
• Maintain store accounts by ensuring a ledger of accounts receivables and outgoing
• Reconcile bank statements
• Prepare annual budget in accordance with the employer
• Establish staff schedules
• Hire employees when appropriate following consultation with the employer

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• More than 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership skills
• Relevant Business studies level 7 or 8
• Manager's Certificate (Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good decision-making and commercial savvy
• A current full class 1 NZ Drivers license
• Experience in POSPERFECT SALESFORCE system knowledge (Essential)
