Napier City Pak'nSave is looking for someone to join our Checkout team as a Checkout Supervisor.
The days and times are as follows:
Monday 12.30pm-9pm
Thursday 2pm-10.30pm
Friday 1.30pm-10pm
Saturday 1.30pm-10pm
Sunday 1pm-9.30pm
(40 hours per week)
Our Checkout Supervisors all have operator shifts as well, as it provides back up to rostered Supervisors, and it keeps us in touch with our customers.
Our Checkout supervisor reports to the Customer Services Manager, and the role is to supervise checkout staff on a day-to-day basis and to perform the Manager's duties in their absence. This includes managing customer flow, handling customer enquiries and complaints appropriately, being aware of legislation and compliance for the sale of alcohol and tobacco, and effectively communicating with staff, customers and external visitors.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Have recent relevant experience in supervising staff in specifically a supermarket environment, or have 1+ years in checkouts and wishing to upskill and grow
- Have a Liquor Controller Qualification
- Have had/currently hold General Managers Certificate for Off-Licence (desirable)
- Have a positive, happy and approachable manner
