Mitre 10 Mega Porirua, as part of Mitre 10 (New Zealand), is a dynamic and growing company, with a vision to provide great quality products and the best value and expertise to enable our customers to have an affordable and easy DIY experience. This is your chance to grow your career within our "big box" format store. This role is within our Hardware, Decorator, Tools and Power Garden departments. Reporting to the Retail Manager you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profit within the departments through delivering excellent team leadership, merchandising, and customer service.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience at driving sales
- Experience leading a team
- The ability to maximise team productivity
- Excellent customer service and merchandising skills
- The ability to complete admin tasks accurately and efficiently
- Confidence to undertake team member appraisals with Retail Manager support.
This role will include openings/closings of the store and is a full time permanent position. You will be expected to work on a roster basis, with at least one day per weekend included: Tues, Weds & Fri: 6:30am – 4:00pm, Thurs: 10:00am – 7:15pm, Sat: 7:30am – 6:15pm (approx. 46 hours per week).
