We are a well-established food company located near Sylvia Park in Mt Wellington. We are operating in a growing market place, and we are seeking an outstanding talent who is smart, positive, enthusiastic and driven. The role requires a high level of self-motivation, discipline and organisation.
This role is part of our finance team and involves responding to queries on payables invoices, processing of Purchase order and Non inventory invoices, credit and debit adjustments, reconciling statements, and ensuring we stay within payment terms.
Key Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable Officer must take ownership and be proactive in relation to efficient, effective, accurate and timely processing manual and EDI invoices, creditor account reconciliation and other financial, administrative and clerical operations. The key responsibilities are:

Ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and

Effectively communicate with and respond to all queries

Reconciling Creditors Statements ensuring all Creditors statements are reconciled monthly.

Maintain a professional and positive attitude whilst being committed to our company values
Minimum Requirements:
-
General accounting knowledge (preferred, but not essential).
-
Excellent communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external business customers and suppliers.

High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of role.

Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and meet agree deadlines.

Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with an ability to take initiative and work autonomously without supervision.

Willingness to be flexible and dedicated to meeting reporting deadlines.

Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment.

Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume department.

An ability to grasp ideas quickly in order resolve problems and issues.

Tertiary qualified - preferable
