  • We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our brand-new store opening soon in Dunedin.

Reporting to the Store Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • A record of strong customer service skills and capability
  • Proven sales performer
  • A record of retail team development and leading a team of 4- 8 people.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to tailor your abilities to your customers
  • Strong attention to detail and PC/ Administration skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for influencing people and building relationships
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate
  • 'Hands on' approach and 'whatever it takes' attitude
  • Demonstrates previous Visual Merchandising experience (Furniture and/ or Homewares preferred).

This full-time role is a great opportunity for a fast paced, creative, customer focused individual to take ownership of their role reporting directly to the Store Manager. You will provide support and coaching to drive the stores customer service and sales targets through to achievement. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure store presentation standards are maintained.

Ideally you will have:

​​​​Key strengths for the position include a passion for people to provide great customer service and the ability to lead and work as part of a team. Applicants with a strong sales focus who also have the ability to engage and inspire store teams will be highly regarded.

Applicants should have at least 3 years' experience, ideally in retail furniture/homewares merchandising, but we appreciate that these skills can also be drawn from a variety of customer service roles.
