An opportunity has become available, due to company growth, with one of our best clients on the South Island. They are well renowned and highly regarded accounting practice with a national presence. They are looking for a farm accountant to add to their National Rural / Farming division. The successful candidate can be anywhere from the Intermediate level and above, as long as you have at least four years total accounting experience you can be considered for this role.
Coming into the second half of the year, there really is no better time to be joining the firm! The Partners are highly experienced and have built up decades of experience between them. Having a farming background isn't essential but is highly desired. By farming background we are referring to if you grew up on a farm and/or have a keen interest in the farming sector. What is most important though is if you have gained farming industry experience from the various clients you have worked with during your career.
You will be CA qualified, or at least nearing completion of this qualification.
Your main duties will include a lot of the compliance based work you will have become familiar with, but with a greater Agribusiness focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an Agribusiness portfolio. Our client wants to get the whole team in front of clients so this needs to be something you are comfortable with.
