Your new role:

Reporting to the Business Manager for the Countdown Media Hub, your new role is to develop and manage all campaign delivery and support functions of the Media Hub, who are Countdown’s commercial marketing team. The Media Hub manages in excess of 1,000 bespoke supplier activations annually across multiple media channels from ‘At Home’, ‘In-Store’ and ‘Online’, working directly with a vast array of FMCG suppliers.  

This includes on time delivery of all supplier marketing activations, financial management and process development.

In addition, you will support long term sustained growth by managing assigned projects that advance the Media Hub platform.   

You will be supported by a team of three direct reports, who are primarily tasked with managing end-to-end supplier campaigns.  This starts with you traffic managing those campaigns to ensure they are executed on time, in full and accurately across multiple media channels.

As the “Media Hub” name suggests, this role will work closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver on campaigns and support function tasks. You will need to build strong relationships with all of the key stakeholders internally and externally, including FMCG supplier marketing teams, agencies, printers, installers and the Countdown buying and marketing teams.

 

About you:

To really shine in your new role, you are an effective communicator with a natural ability to build strong relationships, as this relationship building is imperative to the success of this role. You will be working closely with your internal stakeholders of Marketing and Merchandise, as well as suppliers.

You have excellent marketing skills, with sound media knowledge and an eye for great creative, enabling you to effectively deliver campaigns to our customers in a way that delights our suppliers by increasing their sales.

Also, you will have excellent campaign management skills, with a high emphasis on following and developing process and a sound understanding of cost centre management. You are a highly motivated self-starter, who while being team oriented, also thrives in an autonomous role and can still operate at a high level while managing others.
