The General Manager Sales & Marketing will report directly into the CEO based in Australia and will be responsible for leading & inspiring the NZ Sales & Marketing team to achieve financial goals, increase profitability and build market share. A key part of this position will be developing & implementing the sales & marketing plans for the company brands and has a major role in setting & directing the long-term strategies. A strong commercial understanding of business profitability and return on investment will also be a big part of this position as well as developing a high performing & highly engaged Sales & Marketing team culture and environment.
We would love to see multi nationals or blue-chip organisations on your CV and we would expect to see progression and development of your own, evidencing your capability, drive and ambition. Ideally, we are looking for someone with
- Strong Management / Executive level experience in a FMCG Sales & Marketing environment, combined with strong commercial skills and a sound understanding of the NZ consumer market.
- Significant experience in negotiating with strategic customers with proven positive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated advanced relationship building and strategic thinking experience.
- Organizational Savvy – Business Acumen which initiate change/continuous improvement. Team player who can deal at multiple organizational levels.
- Integrated Thinking – Analytical thinker and decision maker. Ability to deal with complexity, detail and deadlines.
- Leadership – A clear vision and the ability to drive change, take the team on a journey and proven successful building high performing Sales & Marketing teams.
