What is creating the need for this hire:
Expansion of the main project in line with the new blockchain initiative. This involves further development of the app, building in blockchain components and scaling up the vision of the project to target both individual users for the app as well as businesses and developers for protocol integrations. This position is targeted at headlining the development of the new market rollout of the businesses new Protocol Projects.
 
What does a day look like:
Successful candidates will be required to generate 1-2 x quality blog articles per week, in addition to having oversight over social media channels – twitter, facebook, telegram. Adequate ongoing support will be provided during first 1-2 months, with goal of up-skilling and becoming autonomous in this role. Our client wants this candidate to be able to observe posting and content tactics of other players in the space and figure out what types of posts and content they should be engaging in to improve on what the other players are doing. They have all required support resources in house to aid generation of top quality content for posting, however baseline design/photoshop and video editing skills would be ideal (which can then be polished by our more advanced internal staff).

Design, Development, Marketing, Business & Executive – close interaction across all departments.
  
Will this role require traveling? How much on average: 
Role will be primarily based in Auckland CBD offices, however there is high possibility of regional and international travel for conferences etc
  
What would exclude an otherwise great candidate from being successful:
The ideal candidate needs be able to focus and deliver at a high level in required areas, but must also be open and willing to assist across other areas of the business as required to achieve overall project goals. Transparency and communication are key. Needs to be able to identify a problem and come up with a potential solution or output, which can then be presented to team for sign off.
  
What is the toughest challenge the candidate will face:
For our client, being a start up in such an ever-changing industry, priorities often change on a weekly basis and there is less of a structure in terms of direction. The biggest challenge will be balancing getting up to speed on their project/industry happenings, while simultaneously needing to produce high quality material output. There will be full support for this candidate from right across the team from developers to executive team, but it will be a fast paced and multi-faceted process.

Well...there are 5!!
  • Excellent content writing ability with outstanding grammar
  • Copywriting capability is key
  • Familiarity and experience with a range of social platforms (twitter, telegram and facebook are the core ones)
  • Design skills (video, photoshop etc. – basic)
  • Familiarity with contextual content posting (social posting strategies) > they know what to do with images, blog posts and video content etc when provided, to get good promotional exposure across online platforms.
Which skills are most important to them: 

Capability to content/copyright at a high level, ability to learn about new technologies within a short timeframe, content posting strategy experience.
