OUR NEW ZEALAND BUSINESS IS EXPANDING
With new leadership in place we are now looking to fill key senior roles in our New Zealand offices. If you are a Wellington based, highly skilled and experienced researcher with a strength in Social Sector Research then you could be the person we are looking for.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director level researcher who will lead the growth of our Wellington team and our social researchers based in Auckland. You will also work closely with our highly successful Australian Public Affairs unit which includes nearly 50 talented and curious minded individuals.
Across our New Zealand and Australian Public Affairs team we deliver a broad range of important projects investigating public and stakeholder attitudes and opinions in relation to topics such as public transport, utilities, patient experience & healthcare, infrastructure renewal, planning, energy efficiency and the environment. This team, combined with our global expertise will give you a rich source of best practise experience to tap into and provide support for your role.
In New Zealand, we currently work with some of New Zealand’s leading government departments and private sector organisations. You will be expected to lead and build strong relationships with existing clients and break new ground with targeted business initiatives. Ipsos has a wealth of experience, research knowledge and frameworks to help you succeed.
Our people are important. You will play a key role leading, developing and mentoring your team and attracting new talent to the organisation. You will also work closely and collaboratively with other teams across Ipsos who will help you deliver integrated research solutions.
As well as taking responsibility for people you will contribute to the growth of our New Zealand business by being responsible for the financial success of the Wellington team and the Public Affairs research service by leading new business pitches and proposals and by contributing to the development of our propositions and solutions.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE
- Experienced (at least 10 years), strategic and able to lead top to top client relationships
- Highly skilled & passionate with a proven track record in research design and craft
- Strong social research skillset and experience
- Energetic people person – a real team player
- A curious problem solver with a strong customer focus
- Interested in social issues, market trends and understanding citizens and society
- Tertiary qualified: ideally in social sciences, psychology, statistics or public policy
