 About the role

This is an exciting role for an experienced and enthusiastic marketer, the role offers a varied workload with the opportunity to get involved in all facets of marketing.

This role centres on leading the development of our TV executions, so you’ll be well versed in brand and direct marketing. Understanding what makes the customer tick and ensuring our communications drive desired actions to meet business objectives is key to success. You’ll be responsible for forecasting leads and sales, tracking performance of ads and other communications, and reporting on their effectiveness regularly.  

The role reports into the Marketing Manager and involves close working relationships with the wider marketing, sales and service, product, finance, and legal, teams. It also involves working closely with agency partners. 

The marketing team at Cigna is a highly collaborative, cross functional unit responsible for the entire marketing mix both for the Cigna brand as well as for our Affinity partners.

 This role is fixed term for 12 months to cover a period of parental leave.  

Key Duties  

• Manage the development, implementation, execution and review of acquisition & retention marketing campaigns to ensure profitable business objectives are met in consultation with the Marketing Manager & Business Relationship Manager as required.

• Be a brand champion for the Cigna brand across the business.

• Manage the creation of TVCs for our key products.

• Manage relationships with key agency partners, briefing creative and media as required to deliver effective campaigns.

• Assist in the development of a Social Media strategy and the ongoing management of these channels.

• Sales forecasting, monitoring and reporting.

• To ensure agreed solicitation budget levels are set and adhered to.

• Contributing to lead acquisition and distribution across the business.

• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company as a fully participating member of the Marketing team with close liaison with Operations, the Contact Centre, Business Development Manager and other members of the wider Marketing team. This includes involvement and participation in new business (products and processes) and growth initiatives within Cigna.

• Relevant Marketing or Business qualification

•   5-10 years experience in a marketing capacity, including a minimum of3 years Direct Marketing experience,

• Creative and strategic thinker

• Ability to analyse data and draw insight and recommendations

• Ideally you’ll have experience in services marketing, although this isn’t a must.

• You should be interested in TV as an advertising channel, while experience with TV is desired, it’s the interest and can-do attitude in this space that matters.

• Experience managing agency partners

• Apt at budget management

• Hands on, results and action oriented with determination to drive results.

• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, coordinating all interests.
