Our heart beats strong in the US of A where we are headquartered, but our roots run deep, tracing back over 40 years to where it all began in a shed in Christchurch. The ‘someone’ we are seeking to join our global team will be based in our Christchurch office just a stones throw from Spitfire Square and the airport. This is handy, because we expect you to travel to the US office annually for team building and strategy planning sessions.

The position of Social and Content Specialist will require you to represent and grow our brand on the global stage. By working closely with multiple departments you’ll deliver highly engaging content which brings personality to our brand and product. You will be responsible for all Social Media Executions, User Generated Content Coordination and Day-to-day Inquiries along with Lead Generation Advertising, Marketing Automation and Email Journeys. Adaptability across various platforms and tools is essential.

You should be able to identify where we want to be seen and who we want to be seen by by deciphering the right digital channels for our advertising. You will build and implement a full social media strategy, set up of social profiles and help in the generation of ongoing content.

We want you to take ownership of this position, with your passion and ability to utilize social media for marketing, communication, customer loyalty and engagement, growing and representing our brand at the highest level.

 

What’s involved:

  • Regularly managing social media channels.
  • Actively collaborating with the team to find stories to tell wherever possible.
  • Creating compelling content for multiple digital channels.
  • Using your expertise and attention to detail to review and edit digital content.
  • Writing engaging blogs, EDMs and case studies that bring out the company’s personality.
  • Email marketing, growing and segmenting our database and creating an EDM strategy.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in a communications or digital role with a large emphasis on producing engaging content.
  • Experience being the voice of a brand with a real passion for copywriting - every communication must be considered.
  • Creativity and a love of bringing new ideas to the table.
  • Immaculate proof-reading skills and an exceptional written and verbal communicator.
  • Proven ability to work independently while keeping calm under pressure.
  • A global outlook - Up-to-date with global news and events.

 

While not necessary, skills that would be of benefit include knowledge of digital analytics tools, SEO and SEM, Wordpress, and experience in developing customer journeys.
