We have three fixed term senior advisor positions available in the digital channels team. We offer flexible working and a relaxed working environment.
Three exciting opportunities exist for technically strong and detail focused people with website development and management skills and experience.
Working on one of three projects you will have a key role in the effective build and delivery of three new sites. Following the delivery of the projects you will provide ongoing specialist advice and services to for the remainder of your fixed term to ensure effective integration, iteration and development following implementation.
These are unique roles where you will actively contribute to key projects and be responsible for:
- Ensuring our finished products operate effectively and meet business and use needs.
- Making recommendations about technical solutions, information architecture, and content management.
- Using data and evidence to drive business decisions to improve our finished product.
- Working with key stakeholders on project related actions.
- Conceptualising original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design.
- Work with business/content owners to ensure content is ready for publishing in time for project milestones.
- Planning and recommending the required project steps/actions/outputs and post project activities
Who we are looking for:
- Good technical understanding of content management systems, web development processes, and principles
- A high level of understanding of digital best practice
- A great communicator, team player and mentor
- Exceptional organisation and documentation skills
- Experience championing a customer-centric approach
- Creative and effective problem solving skills
- Experience using innovative new media and technologies and knowledge of the latest digital trends, techniques and technologies
- Experience using website analytics tools
About the team
We are a busy Digital Channels team with staff based in Wellington and Christchurch. Our role is to ensure MBIE's websites meet the needs of MBIE and our online customers. We do this by providing customer-centred strategic advice and services. Our operating approach is based around four categories of service:
- Kaitiakitanga / Stewardship
- Business partnering
- Specialist advice and services
- Website support and maintenance
