We have a newly created opportunity for a social media expert to join our Brand and Communications team. As the Brand Manager, Social Media, you will manage the Kiwibank brand across all social media channels and work with the business on social media best practice.

About the role

This is a new role, with big scope, and will suit an experienced and energetic individual who will grab at the chance to own and develop this space. We're looking for someone who'll channel the brand and translate it into our social channels with a particular focus on our two core customer groups.

You'll work closely with some key internal stakeholders, looking at what's coming up for the group and making sure content translates into the social media channels and strategy.

There are some big projects to deliver too - you'll develop a strategic plan for social media and work with the wider team to implement this. Analytics and reporting is also a crucial part of this role, so you'll provide reporting to the business on trends and activity, translating the data into meaningful and relevant insights.

About you:

  • You'll have experience within a social media centric role, but this could be from any industry - not just banking
  • Experience using social media management tools
  • You have a way with words - and can translate jargon (there's lots in the banking world!) into social media posts which are engaging and full of Kiwibank personality
  • Great relationship management skills are a must - you will work closely with internal stakeholders as well as external agencies and partners
  • You keep a cool head under pressure - as in the fast-moving world of social, you never know what might pop up
  • Given the nature of social media, you'll need to be willing to work fluid hours
  • If Auckland based, you must be able to travel to Wellington as required
